Forest School

Forest School delivers an outdoor learning approach where children visit natural spaces to build personal, social and technical skills. We use the local woods and forests in Jersey to develop confidence, independence and self-esteem along with a love and respect for our environment through hands-on learning. We cater for children aged from 6 months – 5 years old.

The children have so much fun exploring the woods at Millbrook Park, having a snack on the fallen trees, gathering moss and twigs to make pretend fires and climbing and hiding in the trees. We enjoy looking, touching and smelling the flowers and deciding who has the biggest or smallest leaves or which colour they like the best. 

We love our visits to the mobile library. Looking at and choosing the books for our topics or to sit on the grass and have the story read to us while we have a snack.
